Mia Pollet

Mia studied sociology and started her career at the Ministry of Culture. But she decided to give up this well-paid job for a more meaningful challenge in Brussels: working at the Volkshogeschool Elcker-Ik, where she was involved in setting up a organic food shop. The goal? To lower the threshold for healthy food and further spread her passion for honest, healthy food. Later, she worked at the CPAS of Schaerbeek, including as secretary to the secretary.

Besides her work, Mia is the proud mother of two Indian adopted children. And as the oldest member of the CPAS council, she is living proof that ‘old’ does not equal ‘out’, as Jos Bertrand of Vooruit Watermael-Boitsfort always says.
